It all started with the dream of having our own small business. For many years we were fantasizing about how this could come into form.
One day, sadly, my grandmother died. She lived right in front of a park, in a beautiful downtown location in Barrio Escalante, in the center of San Jose, Costa Rica. Barrio Escalante had started to become one of the most sought out place for restaurants, bars and coffee shops.
Suddently it hit us, this was too good of a spot to let go. So the journey started and Cafe Del Parque was born.
This website aims to help other aspiring entrepreneurs wanting to start their own coffee shop. We made many mistakes along the way and also learned a lot from them. Now, we put them into the service of others hoping we can help.
On the other hand, during our journey with the coffee shop we dove deep into the coffee world by making coffee not only in our place but also at home. Experimenting with different brewing methods, coffee varieties, and trying to understand all the variables that go into making a good cup of coffee. We would like to also share this information with coffee enthusiasts alike, and people that are also starting to dig into the wonderful world of coffee.
